Seamoss is generally considered safe for most people when used appropriately. However, there are certain contraindications and precautions to be aware of:

Hyperthyroidism: Sea Moss is high in iodine, which can exacerbate hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid). Individuals with this condition should avoid or consult their healthcare provider before using Sea Moss.

Iodine Sensitivity: Individuals with a known allergy to iodine or seafood should avoid bladderwrack as it can trigger allergic reactions.

Medications and Supplements

Antithyroid Medications: If you are taking thyroid medications, especially those for hypothyroidism, consult your doctor as Sea Moss can affect thyroid hormone levels.

Blood Thinners: Sea Moss contains anticoagulant properties, which can enhance the effects of blood-thinning medications and increase the risk of bleeding.

Blood Pressure Medication: The potassium content in Sea Moss may affect blood pressure. Those on blood pressure medications should consult their healthcare provider.

Digestive Sensitivities: Some individuals may experience digestive discomfort, such as bloating or diarrhea, when first introducing Sea Moss Gel into their diet. Start with a small amount and monitor your body’s response.
